Baby's First Christmas Brag Book

I made this brag book awhile ago for my dear Friend Tiffany. She has her first child, Liam spending this Christmas as his  first ever! I hope she likes it!
The inside pages are covered covered cardboard. I used all matching papers. It's the perfect brag book bc it stands on it's own so she can put it on her desk or table to show off!

I am entering this creative project in the following challenge:
a couple of the inside pages- there's more, of course...

Charlie Chewing a shoe card

Yay! I mustered up enough energy and time to make a card to compete in a challenge.
The sketch & stamp I used is from Repeat Impressions. Love them! Just saw that they are coming to Oaks, PA in March for their annual StampScrapArt Tour. Yippee! It is my favorite convention bc I love the make n take dessert party on the Friday night before the convention. It's a smaller convention but they have some of the best vendors! They are eager to share their ideas and techniques -not like some I've been to...

This card has paper from Doodlebug and All My Memories. I used copic markers, ribbon, pop tape(whatever u call it) and rhinestones. I used the paper and ribbon from my stash.

Thanksgiving hostess gift

I bought a candle on sale at Ac Moore- green apple scent and decided to give it to my sister in law as a hostess gift because she is hosting the Thanksgiving dinner this year at her home (We take turns- my Mom & Bruce, Me & my hubby, Nina & her husband). This is the first candle I ever decorated with a stamped image.
I covered part of the candle with scrapbook paper that I ran through my xyron 900 (I got the xyron Creatopia from my Mom last yr- still have not opened it bc I am still trying to use up all the adhesive cartridges I have for the 900.). I stamped an inky antics stamp on a bazzil smooth cardstock sheet and colored it with Copic markers. I wrote "Eat Ham!" on the turkey sign. I think if I was a turkey I would protest for ppl to eat ham. lol Wouldn't u?

I will enter this stamped gift in the following challenges:

Baby Jimmy's Baptism card

I made this card using this week's sketch from Cupcake Craft Challenge. The stamp of the adorable bear is from Stamps N More. I used DCWV paper and copics. The bear imaged is popped from the card too.

Snowy Wolf Card

I made this stamp using a Repeat Impressions UM wolf stamp. I also put on the card some "snow" so it is dimensional and perfect to give for the holidays- vellum has snowflakes on it too. Used my copics for coloring the stamped image.
Defenders of Wildlife use the wolf as their symbol- they fight to preserve America's wildlife and their habitation. Don't forget to protect wildlife by asking your legislators to ban leg hold traps and aerial hunting. Aerial hunting is when disgusting cowards fly in helicopters and shoot wolves (and other wild animals) in the USA (esp. Alaska).

Deer & Foe Card

Hi! I made this card using a Repeat Impression UM stamp. I used Copic markers to color it. I also used some of my stash up- from my scrap paper organizer (I organize it by color).
BTW- in keeping "green" I have a paper bag by my trash can at all times in my craft room that I throw all my paper and cardboard waste into so I can then put it with my recyclables. So, don't just throw out all that paper waste you have as a paper crafter- recycle it.

This card will be entered in the following contests for this week. http://www.thehousethatstampsbuilt.com/

Liam's Christening card

I just made this card for my friend's new baby's Christening. I used a Greeting Farm stamp for the deer- I think that's whose stamp it was from. I used DCWV paper. I used mini McGraw circle punches and scallop scissors. I used two ribbons- both the same color from Berwick. I also used copic markers.

Sending u a Cup of Love Card

I just made this card using a really cute clear stamp set from Inky Antics that I received free from Jackie today. I love their stamps and designs! I was so happy to receive this generous gift! So of course I wasted no time going into my crazy craft room to make a card. I am going to give it to me husband's Aunt Margie tomorrow for her birthday. I used the Inky Antics Teacup mouse set #1, DCWV Pocket full of Posies paper from my stash, copic markers, and Sugar dust (covered the stamped image with it) from Stamp La Jolla. The sugar dust made the photo look like it's glowing. lol Inside reads Sending You a Cup of Love (stamp from the set). I used my big Paper Shapers punch to make the scalloped circle bordering the circle punched image.
I hope to enter this card in the following challenges:

Bottoms Up Froggy Card

I made this card using Sparkle and Sprinkle stamp and some of their semi trans. glitters. I embossed the image with Ranger's black sparkle embossing powder. I cut the olives with my CM cutting system and used my red Leplume pen to decorate them. I used the Quickie glue pen I won from Art Gone Wild to apply the fine glitter to the card. Thanks AGW! I sprayed the card with Tattered angels Garden fairy glimmer mist. I used a fiskars circle punch for the corners.

MUSHROOM CARD

HI! I JUST MADE A MUSHROOM CARD FOR MY BROTHER'S BDAY. (oops cap lock) Anywho..I used a Unity stamp set I just got at the Creative Inkling Store. The mushrrom stamp came with the sentiment- You're a real fun-gi- I stamped that inside the card. I pulled out my old Creative Memories bubble maker punch- used some of the bubbles I punched out on the mushroom. I also used my old CM markers on the mushroom and wet embossed the image and inside sentiment. I used some DCWV green stack paper.

Lizzy's Pink Rocker Scrapbook page

I am so far behind with scrapbooking. Ugh! Well, I did get to do this easy and fast page tonight of my oldest daughter Lizzy. She attended a classmate's bday party back in August and I am just doing the page now. It was a rock star party at Sweet n Sassy. Lizzy had her 6th bday party there -she was the first from her class.
Let's Craft and Create & Cupcake Craft challenges got my juices flowing so I decided to do the page with mostly pink with brown background; Lizzy loves pink and she's even sporting the neon pink hair they gave her at the party. Man, my younger girls fought so hard for that thing when Lizzy came home with it. I still remember that- what a pain in the neck! Try reasoning with an angry 2 and 4 year old that you can't have what your sister has- it sux!

I made this page using all Prima Rock on Love line that I got for a steal awhile ago at a local retailer. I wanted the page to have some old school scrapbook flair so I wrote(w/ EK's bubblegum writer) on it- remember like we would when passing notes in class. lol

Stamp N Doodle Punk Girl Card

This image is from Stamp N Doodle. http://stamp-n-doodle.blogspot.com/ Love it! Check out Stamp N Doodles blog- they got a freebie digi for this week's contest.
I used to be into the Philly industrail/goth scene when I was in my twenties so when I saw this image  I was like "aww yeah". I made my girl on this card a hybrid- cyber punk, goth and industrial.
I used Prima Flower with metal brad, Primas Rock on Love paper and various pens- copic, leplume, sharpie and Glitter gems by american craft. I also colored in her skirt and vest with tattered angels black gold glimmer mist. I used Dimensional thick tape so the image of the girl pops and the "Rock on" oval. The photo really doesn't do this card justice bc I took it with my mac's photo booth.

Lizzy's bday magic cupcake toppers

I made these cupcake toppers for my daughter Lizzy's 8th birthday party we are having this Thursday evening. My daughter loves to do magic tricks so we are using that as the theme for the party supplies. Abracadabra!  I made these toppers with cardstock I cut with my 2inch scallop punch and smaller circle punch. I used Repeat impressions bunny stamp and Stamp n More's top hat. I embossed the images with Ranger's black sparkle embossing powder. The toppers are double sided- varies. Some have the top hat with a bunny head, tail, or 8. Some have the bunny head on one side with the tail on the other so it looks like it's jumping out of the cupcake. I used a piece of double sided Scotch tape in between both sides to hold the toothpick. This would be good for a mad hatter party too- put the top hat right side up though and forget the 8. My top hats are upside down like a magician is pulling a bunny out of his hat.

Adoption/ Fostering/Giving is so Rewarding!

I just wanted to write a brief blog about the need for  adoption and fostering needy animals. Everyone should consider adoption and/or fostering at least once in their life. I have fostered countless animals -saving hundreds of lives plus I contribute to local rescues through donations of clean used towels, new pet food, etc. Everyone should contribute on a regular basis to help needy animals and children whether it be through active volunteering or giving much needed donations. Contact your local rescues to see how you can help them.
I also drop off new toys every year to a local charity for parents unable to make their kids' wishes. Last year, we donated two new bikes to the Salvation Army. I called to see if there were any needy families that could use them and they even came to pick them up for us at our home. I got the bikes on sale at Toys R us for only $35 each- both assembled too. I am not rich but I believe as long as I give to those less fortunate I shall always receive. I have been this way since a child and have yet to go a day without food like some ppl have to. I worked at a shelter for abused children one summer when I was in my early twenties and was surprised to find that a lot of the children never had a bike of their own. When I was a little girl my bike was like my car is today- a necessity for transportation.
So, please put some money away now so you too can do your part this year to make someone or some rescue a little happier/bearable. The best part is, you don't know the recipients and they don't know you- u just do it bc it is the right thing to do. You will be far happier too.
Smiles!

Warm Wishes Card with Stamp n Doodle free image

I just made this card with another free image from Stamp n Doodle. There images are very cool- and VERY usable. It's a pretty winter scene on a farm. I am a night person so I thought I would accent only the moon and the night sky with color in this image. I love the way my yard looks in the night after a good snow- everything is white and glistening. So, I used Tattered Angels champagne Glam all over the card where the snow is to make it glisten (hard to see in the pic- sorry, I use my mac's photo booth to take images- too lazy to keep pulling out my nikon.) I also used Tattered Angels Midnight blue glimmer mist on the sky- I painted it on the image (and on the card background and prima flower so it's sparkles). For the moon to glisten I used my lemon Atyou Spica glistening pen. I used a Doodlebug white sugar coated brad to hold the flower in place-it sparkles too. Creative Memories quilt paper and stickers(I wrote warm wishes on the stickers.) and DCWV black rub on stitches. All from my stash- so happy I FINALLY got use this old CM Cozy quilt gift pack- I just looked at the copyright- 2005!

Whimsy Lamb card "Ewe Know I wuv Ewe"

Hi! Lambs are so cute to use on a card bc you can always use "ewe" in the sentiment inside the card (or outside if u prefer). I made this card using the Whimsy stamp of the lamb(with dimensional tape), I also wet embossed it with a new embossing powder, I bought at Stacie and Gracie's scrapbook shop, called Liquid Platinum. I then chalked the image and put blue eyes using a copic marker. I used some stash up I had by using an Amy butler mat pad I had for the coordinating paper and a piece of DCWV gunmetal cardstock for a little contrast. Too add a little more pizzazz I added 3 various sized Queen & Co pearls.

Good Friends Never Go out of Style

I used Stamp n Doodles free digital image on this card. I finally used Amy butler stickers I had won years ago from a crop- again, using my stash.
When i go out with friends I usually put my purse on the floor; however, recently I heard that is bad luck. hmmm? When I buy purses I usually only buy ones with "feet" on the bottom bc of my floor habit (unless I get a small one). My hubby probably wouldn't approve of this habit knowing how much I spend on purses. Thankfully Coach sends me coupons periodically. lol

Spooky Bag

Well I am hosting my annual Halloween party in October so I find it only fitting in my search to use my stash to make something for it. I have had a pack of paper bags in my craft room for a couple years now. I bought them to make paper bag scrapbooks- still have a ton left.  I just made a party bag for one of the lil monsters attending the party that may win a game. I have kids ranging from 2-14 years old this year. This bag would be great for a toddler.
I used Pholkart Blessing's free digi on it. So cute! I sprayed the bag with T. A. Black Gold Glimmer mist.  and added a cute brad from Around the Block (I have had this Halloween set of brads for years).  I also used my old Glitter Gems markers by American Craft I have had for at least 3 years now.

Autumn Leaves Card

Well, I just finished making this card so I could enter it in a few challenges this week. I used a free image from Digi Doodles. Thanks! I like their images and bought a few before from them- they are quite adorable.

I am not often given help or aid in my life so there are few people I really need to thank. However, this year is my sister in law's turn to make Thanksgiving dinner so if she does, I will probably give this card to her. I am usually the person helping others.

Cupcake Craft sketch #108 & Digi Doodle #24 Challenges

http://cupcakecraftchallenges.blogspot.com/2010/09/challenge-108-sketch.html
http://digidoodleshopsbest.blogspot.com/2010/09/charm-me-challenge-24.html
I made this card to submit to both digi Doodle challenge #24 Charm me and Cupcake Challenge Sketch Challenge #108.
I love images of portly women- yes, perhaps I'm weird but I think they are so adorable. Far cuter than the images of skinny women. This cute gal is a stamper! How about that? A stamp of a stamper (inky antics)...The charm I used is from my stash too- Queen & Co.

I think I'll give this card to my Mom for her bday and write inside, "You know you'd rather be stamping on your birthday."

Golden Anniversary Card Repeat Impressions Sketch S810

I just made a Golden Anniversary card for my in laws. I can't believe they have been together for 50 years. I don't know how my mother in law puts up with my father in law- he's a good man but boy, he really gets on my nerves sometimes. I could not imagine spending 50 years with him.
I am surprised I am still married. I wasn't never the type of girl to have a long steady boyfriend. I always dated a lot but after dating my husband for awhile I knew he was the ONE. We still laugh everyday and I can honestly say he is my best friend. I hope we reach 50 years together too (been together for over 10 but wed only 8 years).
I used Repeat Impressions Sketch S810 for the layout of the card.
I used an Inky Antic stamp, Stamp craft paw print stamp, Queens gold embossing powder for the paws, prismacolor pencils, Tattered Angels Gold glimmer mist and DCWV gold paper. I used my MAC camera to take the photo- so excuse the poor image- it's backwards. doh!

Whimsie Doodle Sketch Challenge #48

All of us can be lil porkers when it comes to Halloween candy so this card is in honor of our inner witchy piggy.
I made it using the sketch from Whimsiedoodle sketch #48.
http://whimsiedoodles.blogspot.com/
I used a Whimsy stamp- the piggy.

Wedgie Witch card TMS #58

Hi! Well, I must confess along with other things, I am a marker junkie. So this card has many different types of markers used on it. I used Copic, Spica atyou, American Crafts Glitter gems, Sharpies, EK Success Writers, and LePlume markers. I used a bat ribbon and for the glitter swirl I used Tattered Angels new Glam- chandelier.
I bought this witch rubber stamp at the StampScrapArt tour convention in Oaks, PA.
I am entering this card in the Tuesday morning sketch challenge #58 and Two Peas in a Pod Finally Friday challenge this week.

My new Halloween card CCB#20, DDSB#23 Cupcake #106 YNS#24

Hi! I just finished making this card using the following items: SEI batty paper from Eerie alley collection, Digi doodle shop's digital stamp (LOVE the image- has 2 of my favorite animals- bats and rats!), halloween ribbon from Walmart (last yr's clearance), and LePlume, Copic, atyou spica & Souffle markers.

I really love this card it is so cute! I used foam tape to make the image pop! You may notice a theme with my cards- simple design and fast production. I have 3 little girls (7,4,2) and a house full of rescued animals so I don't have more than an hour to spend on one card. Plus, my attention span is the size of a pea. lol

Day 183 Digging Deep &Day 182- 365 Card Challenge

http://365cards.blogspot.com/Well this is my first entry I just completed for 365 Cards Challenge Blog. I dug up my old Martha Stewart vintage Halloween collection from 2009. I love the collection but with three little girls never got a chance to use it, so I was happy to pull it out and finally use it. This will make a great card to send to my in-laws this year for Halloween.
I used the following items in this card: Martha Stewart vintage Halloween 6x6 paper, stickers (the last circle is a dimensional sticker), CTMH Happy Haunting stamps (I never used the "happy haunting"), black Rubber Stampede ink, Creative Memories circle templates cutting system, CTMH bitty sparkles (I placed them on the owls' eyes-I bought them back in February at the Stampscrapart tour.)and an old Atyou Spica orange twinkling ink pen I bought over a year ago (I used it to color the "happy Haunting".)
I hope you like it! I'm loving these card challenges! This design- day182 is completely new to me.

This is my first Whimsie card Text & CPS Sketch challenge entry. This card is a nice simple and clean design that lies pretty flat so it is perfect for mailing. Good to send to a male or female recipient. Nice fall colors too
I used the following items for this card: DCWV The Green Stack paper (70% recycled), Colorbok Friendly Forest 3-D flower and the Paper Company botanical garden cardstock.
I hope you like it!

CCCB#19

I just made this birthday card to enter  into the City Crafter Challenge blog- #19 stars. The photo of the card is not very good bc I used my Nikon on automatic- don't know how to shut off the flash so the colors don't look as fabulous as they are really are on the card. Doh!
I think this card would be perfect for any of my daughters' friends upcoming birthday parties.

I used the following materials to complete the card; Tattered Angels Glimmer mist pink bubblegum, The Greeting Farm stamp, Rubber Stampede black ink, Flower soft bright pink for boa, Simplicity twill zebra pink, Momenta silver distress paper, Smooch taffy pearlized accent ink, copic markers, dark brown LePlume marker for hair, and Martha Stewart craft glitter.
