Disney Polynesian Towel Mini Scrapbook page

The Outlawz designers came up with a cas sketch for a scrapbook page and it totally got my juices flowing to finally start one of the small CM scrapbooks I have to make for my daughters of our December Disney trip in 2010. It was the best time to go to Disney and my Mom treated us to the fabulous trip! She's so generous! We had a great time!

flower girl card

I made this card using the Outlawz sketch for today. I also used my Repeat Impressions UM girl stamp- it's so feminine I just had to add flowers. I colored the stamped image with copics (YG line). I first misted the card with Tattered Angels old lace glimmer spray. I then cut a round circle (with my cm cutting system) from a piece of old DCWV paper I had. I applied faux stitching to the circle and stamped cardstock with copics. Under the Prima flowers is a sheer yellow ribbon. I applied Recollections mini round gems to the center of all the flowers.
I bought a new Rubber Soul stamp to use inside at AC Moore on sale yesterday. It reads "Be the change you wish to see in the world.- Ghandi" Ghandi is one of the people that I admire most in the world- along with Lincoln, Reagan, Jane Goodall, Hiawatha, Ben Franklin, MLK, and St Francis of Assissi.

Another Beachy Babe Card

If you follow my blog you probably noticed I have used this Inky Antics mounted stamp quite a bit recently. Well, it's bc I plan to use these cards as invitation to my 39th birthday in July. I hope to invite a few girlfriends to swim and hula dance (dancing after a daiquiri or margarita) at my home. Can I hula? No, but who cares once u have a pretty drink in your hand and close friends over? Plus, it'll be my celebration and my last hoorah as a thirty something chick. I got the sketch for this card from Paper & Such Design blog http://paperandsuchonline.blogspot.com/. They have a store too.
I heat embossed the stamped image. I used a punch for the flowers and added a green gem for the center.
Sorry the image of my card is not so good- again, I use my laptop's photobooth to take the photo. It's fast and easy.

Dragonfly Card

Dragonflies are a welcomed visitor here at our yard aka, "suburban woods". I remember as a teen and swimming in the pool we had at my childhood home there was always this one dragonfly. He would fly around and always land on my Mom's book as she floated in the pool. We thought it may be my deceased Uncle JF giving her a sign of comfort.
Ok, I'm totally thinking summer now. My hubby is finally draining our inground pool. Too many leaves to try to simply prep for summer. It takes over a week to fill our pool- seriously, it's huge! We get ducks in it when we have it closed- resembles a public pool. Found a new blogging group- Outlawz and checked a new challenge they have this week for Clean and simple designs- which are totally my type of designs- I dread bulk and totally lack time (being a Mom of 3 little girls, etc).
(As usual my pic of the card does it no justice bc I use my mac's photobooth- I'm too lazy to run down to 3 flights to get my camera.)

I think this card has a glimmery rustic feel. I used Tattered Angels glimmer mists, dragon fly screen and dragon fly stamp. I used 3 different glimmer colors- midnight blue, mimosa, and yellow daisy. I used Adirondak's ginger dye ink for the stamped image. I couldn't help myself and had to add CTMH's itty bitty sparkles for the eyes. I also distressed the edges of the card with my Tim Holtz distressing tool.I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Pool Party Card

I used Repeat Impressions sketch to make this card. I used an Inky Antics stamp with blk sparkle embossing powder (heat embossed). I colored the stamp image with copics. I put a green gem on the flower in the corner. The paper I used is from Ki Memories- got it recently from Two Peas in a Pod clearance sale online. I love a sale!
I wish more stamp companies would make more stamps of full figured women! I find the images more appealling than the skinnier ones.

Just a glimpse of my Crazy Craft Room

This is where some of my paper crafting creativity happens... I LOVE HAlloween! These

Luau Party Card

I used my new Inky Antics stamp for this card. I stamped the image with Colorbox ink and heated embossed it using Ranger's holographic embossing powder. I colored the image with Copics. I punched the squares with my Creative Memories square punch. I wrote " party!" with a white uniball signa broad pen. I applied Stickopatamus stickers to the squares. I used Woodwares blog sketch. I used Daisy D mt vernon floral print paper mounted on a DCWV card from m stash.
I really like this image of the chubby gal in the polka dot bikini- I wish I could still wear a bikin but at my age and with my figure it would be a silly (perhaps frightening) sight. lol

Pool Party Card

I made this card using 2 stamps I bought from Inky Antics. I just got them in the mail today and could not wait to use them. I used the sketch for the card from Aly's Sunday Sketch blog. I used DaisyD's paper. The white cardstock I used was Bazzills coconut swirl- I prefer it for stamping images and coloring with Copics. I misted the 2" punched scallop circle with Tattered Angels patina glimmer mist after stamping it with red ink from Memories Stewart Superior Corp. I did heat emboss the lady on the stamp with Ranger's holographic embossing powder to make her pop! The sticker I added is from Stickopotamus. The red diamond shape was cut from a scrap of Reminisce cardstock I had in my stash.

Cup of Love Card

I made this card using Inky Antics stamps. The sketch for the card is from Stamp with Fun Challenge Blog.  I punched the flowers from white corrugated scraps and sprayed them with Denim Blue Tattered Angels glimmer mist then added pearl accents. I paper pieced the flower petals (using the same paper already on the card) and they are actually heat embossed with Ranger's black sparkle embossing powder. I colored in the stamped image with copics. I plan to enter this card in the following challenges:
I plan to give this card to my Dad when I visit him in the Veterans Hospital. I hope it brightens his day.

Coffee Card

I made this groovy card using a Repeat Impressions stamp that is actually square in shape but cut a circle using CM's cutting system to make it like a circle. I added 3 buttons with twine (from CTMH). I colored some of the stamped images with copics. I embossed the stamp embossing powder.

Fathers Day Giraffe Card using MelJen Design

I used a free digi stamp from MelJen  Design on this card. I plan to enter this week's challenge at her blog too. I used copics to color the image. I used brown pompom ribbon, blue cardstock from my scrap holder, Creative Memories giraffe print paper (from 8 years ago-very old stash), Adirondak ginger ink on the edges. I also used my Tim Holtz distressing tool on the edges of the white bazzill cardstock. I wrote Happy Daddy's day with blk sparkly atyou spic pen- I used it on the eyes too to make them sparkle.

House Mouse Mother's Day card

I made this card using a House Mouse stamp I have had for quite sometime. I used copic markers to color the image stamped with Memento blk ink. I used Stickles ice on some of the bubbles so they are glittery and dimensional. I used my Martha Stewart mouse border punch from Halloween and the cardstock and paper is from my scraps holder. I inked the edges of the white cardstock with Adirondack latte ink- matches the mouse's fur.  Inside I wrote: Hope you get to relax! (Jen has 2 young boys and works as a teacher in the Phila. school district.)
The pic is poor bc I used my mac's photobooth- sorry, too lazy to go down 3 flights of stairs and get my camera. lol I plan to mail this card to my other friend Jen R. for Mothers Day tomorrow. My girlfriends that got the other cards I made already told me they loved them. So, I hope Jen R. likes hers too.

Mothers Day card- Nursery Rhyme

I made this 5x7" card using Flower Soft Nursery Rhyme sheet and flower soft sweet pea and green colors. I used Martha Stewarts glitter glue to adhere the flower soft. I am sending this card to my friend Jen A. as a mothers day card- inside I wrote "Thankfully, we have food, a house and birth control. Happy Mother's Day!"

Woohoo! Osama Bin Laden is Dead!!!

As an American, I am so proud of our Troops for killing Osama Bin Laden. Death is a delicate subject but when it comes to a person like Osama Bin Laden it could not come soon enough. I applaud the efforts of both our Presidents Bush and Obama for giving our military and intelligence/ counter intelligence what they needed to accomplish this life saving goal. Their tenacity and determination is extraordinary.
Americans and the rest of the world can breathe, work, travel and simply live a little easier again knowing Bin Laden is gone permanently.
I hope the world knows that America always has and will continue to be free, "for the people and by the people"  "for liberty and justice for all".
Now, please Mr President bring most of our Troops home so they can better serve our citizens here in disaster relief efforts and protection.
Blessed be those who seek truth and justice for all always. Blessed be America!

Shabby Chic Princess Card

Hi! First off, I want to say that this photo does not do this card any justice ( I used my laptop's photo booth to take it.) I sprayed some of the layers of cardstock and paper with my new Tattered Angels Chalkboard glimmer mist mint chocolate chip spray- to give it a little shimmer. The paper bag crdstock I used was crinkled then ink- like that easy distress look. I also distressed the ends of some of the paper layered with my Tim H. distressing tool. The blue and red cardstock is from coredinations (I sanded the blue lightly). the patterned paper I used was from Basic grey- from my scraps keeper. The cute stamp is from Inky Antics. I used Copics on it for color after embossing it with Ranger's blk sparkle embossing powder. I used Bazzills coconut swirl cardstock for the white paper (I love it when using copics.)
As always, I have very little time to make any crafts due to my hectic lifestyle- 3 young girls (ages 3, 5, 8) and 20 rescued pets so the cards I do make are always quick and simple designs. Plus, I despise bulk on my cards bc I actually mail out my cards to friends and family.
