Skull Appreciation Day Blog Hop- Skull self portrait

Read for a chance to win new large Clear Stamping blocks from www.ScrappingBeauty.com!
If you know me personally you know that I may not be the average person. (then again who is?) Anyway, I described myself as living in the light but admiring the dark. I'm ambidextrous. Who cares right? Well, I think that my being neither left or right side dominant causes me to be fully of complexities. For instance, I think most would describe my personality as being sunny and bright. Yet, my favorite holiday is Halloween. I love the spooky, dark and scary. Things that go bump in the night make me the happiest.
I drew this skull free hand then colored it in with tattered angels glam and Tombow markers. I cut it out and attached it to the top of a wood box I painted with Tattered Angels glimmer mist- black gold and candy apple red.
In the eyes are what I like to see- one of my favorite animals- bats! I have 2 small browns and one bigbrown that frequent my yard in the summer. I love watching them zip around at night! Rainbows are a favorite like most too bc I love color! Even in my gothis industrial phase in my twenties- my wardrobe was comprised of black (the norm) but still infused with color. The teeth are big in this pic bc I like my teeth- I remembered some of the little kids in the 2-6 yr old ward at an emergency facility I used to work at commenting on my teeth. Very funny bc ppl pay a lot of $ now to get their teeth like mine. lol I also like the look of spider webs- we have a ton here. I leave them up bc they help control the pest population and the look of them are perfect for our big old house. They add drama and charm.
Enjoy the the Skull Appreciation Day hop today! If you decide to follow my blog and leave a comment with your email address I will pick a random winner on June 11th to win a new/never used 4x3inch clear stamping block and 6x6 inch stamping block. I will pick an additional winner to win a 12x2inch clear stamping block from my followers if I get more than 20 followers by June 11th as well.

Loved reading your blog post, I don't suppose you're also a Libra ? The bow on the skull was the finishing touch for me - too cute.

Thanks Gals! I'm actually a cancer. Deep thinker and too compassionate at times but I demonstrate a hard exterior always. xo
